Our Run Coach program focuses on 3 key element to performance.1) Proper Training Pace: Optimal pacing skills (training) are crucial to attaining your best results on race day. For many years athletes competed in endurance sports without heart rate monitors [HRMs] relying simply on rate of perceived exertion [RPE]. This worked fine, but combining feel with heart rate monitoring is even better! Our program will give you specific training paces based on your needs & abilities. 2) Advanced Strength Training & Flexibility: Performing sets & reps on a leg extension or lat pulldown machine will do little to improve your performance and may actually do more harm than good. We will teach you "Core" exercises to improve your Balance, Stability and Economy through improved posture. These exercises have been proven to reduce the risk of 60% of most "overuse" injuries.3) Race Day Tips & Nutrition Suggestions: There is little that can be done on race day to improve performance, but plenty that can sabotage it.
