Fitness 121 Pilates
Fitness 121 Pilates can be of significant benefit to those who are unbalanced and inflexible. Our Pilates provides a structured way to balance opposing muscle groups, enhance flexibility, and strengthen muscles that are otherwise difficult to work.
Pilates at Fitness 121 is taught in two contexts. The first is "mat" based, in which you will learn to stretch, exercise, and breath using a mat on the floor. Our Pilates is also taught on a machine called the "Reformer." The machine can be used for hundreds of different exercises, many of them deceptively difficult. Using a series of straps, springs, and pulleys the machine is a great tool in assessing strengths and weaknesses, as well as a tool to address those weaknesses.
